The Millennial Mom Mastermind

Hey, work-from-home "millennial mommies"! I'm planning to launch a mastermind group exclusively for us, millennial mothers who are crushing two things we love: parenting and building a career. In this group, we will spend time talking to one another and brainstorm together; share ideas about parenting, business, and career; challenge one another to create and implement goals; and act as cheerleaders and motivators for one another.

What is a mastermind group?

In a Mastermind Group (also known as a peer advisory board), the agenda belongs to the group, and each person’s participation is key. Your peers give you feedback, help you brainstorm new possibilities, and set up accountability structures that keep you focused and on track. You will create a community of supportive colleagues who will brainstorm together to move the group to new heights. Who can join this mastermind?

It's exclusive for work-from-home Filipino mothers. We need to be on the same page to understand one another better. You can be a freelance writer, editor, graphic designer, web developer, online marketing specialist, virtual assistant, online seller - just about any mom who has found her career in the online world.

On this mastermind, what do we do?

Well, what do we not do? There's going to be a lot of talking and encouraging, I can assure you that. But here are some other things that will be happening in the group:

  • Hot Seat - this is when you take your turn to talk about what you do, how you do it, the struggles you face (balancing work and family), and stuff like that. Members pitch in their ideas and contribute to creating solutions for work-related issues (and even beyond that, given that it's not too personal).
  • Book Club - since we're all busy, we'll do a book per month. At the end of each month, we will give feedback. Discussion about this will be done along the way.
  • Friendship - this is probably the most significant thing you get from a mastermind! It's going to be awesome to make new friends who are in the same boat as you! :)

How many people will be allowed in the group?

Since we're still starting out (and we really don't want to be overwhelmed), I'll limit the group to 8 people. So that each week, 2 members get to be on the hot seat. This is so we can focus on one another and be more effective in learning about one another's skills, knowledge, etc.

How will we communicate?

All communication will be done via Skype, email, and an official Facebook group which will be put up when the mastermind starts.

Want to join me and be better at what you do? Limited slots open! More deets when you ping me on Facebook, Twitter, or Skype [leanfernandez_].

Talk to you soon!
