After the concert, my friends and I lurked around the Pacific Grand Ballroom, in hopes that we could meet the band again. Apparently, we did not. It was funny because we had retired back to our rooms but Diego (from Dayly Entertainment) looked for Mel, and we thought we were finally going to get exclusive access to their rooms or whatever (wishful thinking). We then realized that he wanted to see only Mel so he could give her one of Zac's drumsticks. Well, I did not get one, but as Laarni of Hanson Philippines said, "At least you made love to it muna."
So here I am making the most out of our time together:
I raped and robbed it of its innocence.
We had a picture taken with "Lenny" from the back-up band after the concert.
I finally decided I could not take the exhaustion any longer and went back to our hotel room. I took a quick bath and and made peace with the bed.

I woke up at 3:00 AM to send Pauline off. That was heartbreaking. We only spent less than 30 hours together, yet I felt a very strong connection with her, as well as the other girls in the room that day.
I miss you. :(
Then the call came. Someone from Dayly tipped us that the boys were getting ready to head for the airport!
My hair was messy, my breath was pweh, my eyes were still all fluffy; but I had to go down to the lobby! I did what reflex taught me to do. I leaped off the bed, rushed into the bathroom, quickly washed my hair and brushed my teeth. I put on my shoes and sped out of the door. In a couple of seconds, I found myself at the Waterfront Hotel lobby.
True enough, things from last night's concert were being packed. We spotted Hanson's back-up band and decided to start a conversation with them.
Here we are with the "Backstreet Boys," as we called them:
I am so freakin' UGLY!
It was Irene's reaction that made me realize that Hanson was finally in the lobby. You should have seen the look on her face. IT WAS PRICELESS, I tell ya. Everyone started flocking toward Tay, who was shocked that we still existed. Haha! I got to speak to Zac---SOLO! He shook my hand, and I got to ask him a few questions and more, but I just could not remember. Even when I close my eyes and try to picture him in front of me, the image turns blurry. My mind was not in the perfect condition at the time. I was living a dream.
Here are a few photos of Hanson before they left:
I was having my Zac moment when this happened.
Then they all stole him from me. Sorry, I can't bring myself to show the world my dorky face in this photo!
Bye, Zash. :((
Seeing them get into that van and leave is the saddest thing that ever happened in all my fangirl life. My heart was being crushed. I realized that I would probably never see them again, or I would have to wait another 15 years to feel the rush I had felt that weekend.
But then again, I have to accept that the world we live in isn't all happiness and excitement. I stepped back and walked into the hotel, sad but prepared to face my reality.
My life is this: I'm a 25-year-old adult with a 4-year-old son, working off the net, and making the most out of everything just to survive. I am a fangirl, yes. That will always be a part of me, but it will remain as just that---a mere part of my whole. I had fun, and my dreams came true. I thank the Lord for allowing me to experience that. I do. Sometimes, though, we have to look back and tell ourselves that there's more to this.
Hanson makes me happy, but they were only there for less than 24 hours (best <24 hours ever though). There are people in my life who have stayed longer, and it's always best make those people the priority. You know what Hanson says, "So hold on to the ones who really care. In the end, they'll be the only ones there."
I am happy that all of this happened. Not only did I get to meet the band I've always looked up to since I was eleven, but I made some wonderful new friends that I know I will cherish for the rest of my life.
I miss and love you, girls!
That wraps up my entire Hanson Hangover series, and you have NO idea how relieved I am to have finally gotten all this into writing. I know the posts need more editing, but heck. I'll do that some other time. Have a happy life, everyone! MMMBop to the top!
Hugs and kisses,
